I've been a designer since I graduated in 2002 (hard to believe it's been 10 years already!) and worked for a company called Artisan Complete until the birth of my daughter in 2007. After she was born I decided to work from home as a freelance designer - I just wasn't interested in being away for 12+ hours a day! Since then I've done all sorts of work on the side, some for Artisan, some for other small companies, and of course for my friends and family!

I did end up taking a part time retail position a couple of years ago, it had flexible hours and a steady income. However, recently my husband took a new job and it has really flipped our routine/life upside down! He's now working on western hours and not home with us in the evening. So I had to quit my part-time retail position, can't say that I'm sad to see it go.... haha.... but I do miss the steady pay.

Anyway, I was doing my daughters birthday invitation when a few friends of mine asked me if I was doing this full time now... I though.... hmmm... now there's a good idea! I'm always getting requests, why not make it my business?!

So here I am, setting things up and trying to drum up some business!
